Requirements
All fire doors in NSW requires specific fire-rated hardware, including a self-closing and self-latching automatic door closer and lock set.
All other hardware, such as hinges, seals, and viewers, must also be fire-rated and compliant to AS1905.1. No additional hardware can be installed unless it has been approved by the manufacturer and is certified, as it can prevent the door from functioning correctly during a fire.
