All fire rated doors in NSW require specific fire-rated hardware, including a self-closing door closer and a lock set that is self-latching. Additionally, all other hardware such as hinges, seals, and viewers must be fire-rated and compliant with AS1905.1. No additional hardware can be installed unless it has been approved by the manufacturer and is certified, as it could prevent the fire rated doors from functioning correctly during a fire.
